Painting Transforms

It occurred to me,

I have been writing about creativity, but not about painting.   So, I want to share a bit about my love affair with painting.

Painting is my favorite pasttime. 

Painting transforms.

Before I started painting abstracts, I would paint walls.  Ok, I confess, I still paint walls!  (But, my husband is sooo glad that I now paint on canvas as well!)

It is an amazing feeling to take something that is old, grungy, bare, or downright ugly and transform it with paint.

Stroke by stroke,
new life is brought to the surface.

Joy grows in my heart as I see it come to life.

The amazing thing about it is how the simple act of painting can totally change the atmosphere of a room.  What was boring is suddenly, drastically filled with excitement.

It is the same with art!

Each piece has the potential to bring about change-- a change in viewpoint, a change in attitude, a moment of escape or clarity.  I believe art speaks.  Each piece is meant for someone.

Art has a destiny.
