Hello, Creatives! (say that like....ARSENIOOOO HAAALLLL)I've been back at the Gelli Plate! I hope you are inspired to play and experiment by this video. I had a great time trying out stencils! I made prints, ghost prints, and Sandwiches! Ok, you have to watch the video to find out what I mean :) It has come to my attention that my videos are not showing up in the emailed version of the blog post, so, Here is the link to the video: Gelli Printing & Stencils with Jessica Sanders For a supply list, click the Read More link :)
Hello, Creative Peeps!I wanted to drop in today and share a bit of inspiration! I've been watching the 2016 Rio Olympics, like sooo many other people right now! I mean, the Olympics only come around once every 4 years! I want to take it all in! I'm completely inspired by the athleticism, artistry, and unity that I see in the Olympics :) Being an artist, I'm going to share a bit of art-spiration! I have to admit, I wan't thinking about the artistry, the design, the colors of the 2016 Olympics at first. I watched off & on, catching different events, from volleyball, to soccer, to wrestling. I was focussed on the athletes...the heart, soul, and dedication that they must have. I first noticed it when I saw the hurdles! The coloful, vibrant, swirling hues of the hurdles. I thought, wow! I love this color palettte. It's full of energy and vibrancy, and it represents the Olympics so well.
Naturally, I had to paint with this palette! Hey, Creative Peeps!I'm off to the lake with my family this weekend. Before I left, I want to share with you my 2nd attempt at color field paintings, inspired by Mark Rothko.
If you would like to see the video, just click over to my website or my YouTube channel :) Hey, Creatives! :)
The summer is flying by here in Houston, and it has been SUPER HOT!
So, what do you do in the sweltering heat? Stay inside and Make Art, of course! Lately, I have been totally inspired to get in my studio and create and play with my new Gelli Plate by Gelli Arts. I have only used it a few times now, but it is so, so much fun :) You may be wondering why my title says, Inspired by Rothko, and here I am talking about Gelli Plate printing. Don't worry, I'm getting to that! |
