I spent the day organizing my studio and finishing paintings for my upcoming show at CityCentre Houston’s Fall Art Series.  It starts next weekend!  I am super excited…and super nervous.  So many thoughts are running through my mind. 

Will I be able to pull it off?  Will people like my paintings?  Will people like me? 

Honestly, it’s scary!  I feel like my most personal journey is being put out into the world to be judged.  After all, when I paint, I put my heart, my whole being into it.  I am immersed in the process.  The art and I are one.

Do you know the feeling?  Insecurity and fear raise their heads, but we must continue.  Something inside, some beautiful moment, needs to go out into the world.  Someone out there needs what we have.

Our gifts are not ours alone.  
We need each other.  We are more together.
